Susan is one of the owners and founding partners of Sansima Consulting Group, Inc.
Before starting Sansima Consulting Group, Inc. Ms. Schutzman spent 5 years as a consultant at A. Foster Higgins, Inc. in the National Defined Contribution Practice.She was responsible for and supervised the daily workflow and quality control of her accounts. Ms. Schutzman was also a consultant for six years at Coopers & Lybrand where she supervised and performed defined contribution valuations.
During her twenty plus years of diversified experience, her responsibilities have included the following: ·Design and implementation of all types of Defined Contribution Plans including 401(k) Plans, 1165(e) Plans, 403(b) Plans, Profit Sharing Plans, Non Qualified Plans, and ESOP’s; ·New Client start-up processing, conversion, and implementation; ·Ongoing review and analysis of the plan and trust, as well as reconciliation of the trustee plan accounting; ·Development of daily reconciliation procedures; ·Perform and manage all steps of valuation processing for all types of Defined Contribution Plans; ·Development and design of administrative forms to comply with IRS regulations; ·Design and production of customized statements and other specialized reports; ·Daily client contact to resolve problems (i.e., payroll vendors, trustees, etc.); ·Implementing Interactive Voice Response Systems and Interactive Internet Services to reduce employers’ administrative burdens; ·Preparation of government filings for plan compliance(1099R, 5500, 480.1). Ms. Schutzman is a member of the Profit Sharing Council of America, The Society of Professional Record Keepers (SPARK), the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO), the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, the WEB Network of Benefits Professionals and the NJBIA (New Jersey Business & Industry Association). Ms. Schutzman received a BS in Mathematics, with minors in Statistics and Business from the State University of New York at Albany.
